You may not be looking to lose weight, but eating a diet without meat usually means you will consume fewer calories and less fat. If you're eating chocolate and cakes all day, you will still be eating vegetarian but will be consuming lots of calories, so you still have to think about making the right choices. Studies have suggested that bacon could be more carcinogenic than cigarettes, which is already a leading cause of cancers. 

Higher cholesterol

Cholesterol found in meat and dairy products could potentially contribute to cancer, heart disease and other major health issues, according to studies. We are told to cut down on the amount of eggs and dairy products we eat, and avoid regular consumption of red meats and fatty meats. This is because they can raise cholesterol to dangerous levels, which can result in reduced blood supply and chronic pain. 

Lower risk of diabetes

Type 2 diabetes can develop in people of any age, but it usually develops in those between 45-60 who are overweight and eat poor diets. For people with diabetes, there is a constant risk of developing other health issues such as heart disease. Too much meat is thought to be one of the factors which contributes to the development of diabetes. Those who avoid meat or have meat-free days during the week generally have lower blood pressure, lower cholesterol and a decreased risk of developing serious health problems.
